Building with Purpose
my story & Why SHIKI?
I started out in commercial construction but quickly found myself drawn to the creative chaos of location-based entertainment. Over the past 17 years, I have worked across greater China, Japan, the US, and Australia, delivering attractions for Disney, Universal, and Lionsgate. What always stuck with me was this: great ideas fall apart when delivery is not purpose built.
That is why I started SHIKI. Not as a service provider, but as a partner who understands the creative vision, speaks the local language, and brings structure to the chaos. We do not just build projects. We build experiences. Too often, delivery is treated as an afterthought. But in our world, where timelines are tight, scope is layered, and IP expectations are sky high, how you deliver is just as important as what you deliver.
SHIKI was created to fill that gap. We are not here to track progress. We are here to make it happen; from early planning through to final handover.
Why does purpose built project management matter in location-based entertainment?
Because this industry does not run in straight lines. It is fast moving, emotionally charged, and full of creative and technical pressure points. You cannot just apply generic project management tools and hope they stick. You need a structure that adapts, integrates, and leads with intent.
At SHIKI, we design our project structures around how themed environments actually get built. That means leading coordination early, reducing noise between vendor interfaces, and making sure every decision is grounded in delivery logic. It is not about doing more. It is about doing the right things, at the right time, in the right way.
What does “building experiences” actually mean to me?
It means creating something that moves people, and making sure nothing breaks that moment. It is not just about lighting or sound or finishes. It is about getting every part to land together, cleanly and confidently.
To me, building experiences means protecting the intent from start to finish. SHIKI lives in the space between creative ambition and real world delivery. We keep all the moving parts aligned so the end result feels effortless.
